Acknowledgement of Country

The Port Church acknowledge the Kaurna people as the Traditional Owners of the Land on which we stand and we pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. As a church we strive to love God, love each other, and love the community we live in, but the uncomfortable history of our First Nations people and the many traumas inflicted on them remind us of how far our nation has fallen from God’s glorious plan. The Port Church will always stand with those who have experienced injustice and trauma just as Jesus did when He walked this earth. We will never tolerate racial discrimination in any form but will always strive to promote the equality we all share in God’s eyes. We will never shrink away from our responsibility to say sorry no matter what, and we will always extend a hand of friendship and an ear to listen to those who have been treated unfairly.

Children's Church

We want children to know they're listened to and valued while learning how much God loves them. We run a fun packed group most Sunday services (2 - 10 years).

We also run Kids Club which is a fun afterschool activity group for primary school aged children on Friday 3:15 to 5:15pm (school terms only)

Fearless Youth

We support teenagers to be all in with loving life and loving God. We meet Fridays 7:00pm - 9:00pm for kids, year 6 to 12 during the school terms.  For more info follow us on Facebook and Instagram.

Exalt

The recordings are basic and simple, but the songs reflect the genuine heart of our church and our God.

Listen to our very own Demo EP, #Exalt, now available on SoundCloud

Pop-up Kitchen

We love getting outside the 'church walls' and encouraging people from the community, showing Christ's love in action. We offer a free meal at the pop-up kitchen, plus free clothes, and fruit and vegetables. Run every Wednesday at the church from 5:00pm to 7:00pm (school terms only).

Primetime

For everyone over 60 who’d like to meet with others to relax, have a laugh and learn about God. We meet at church on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month at 10am till midday.

BCSA Redress Scheme

The Port Church has joined the National Redress Scheme as a member of Baptist Churches of South Australia. Why we exist

Our Vision is simply
'To live like Jesus lived'.
1 John 2:6, 'Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.'

Our Mission explains it more fully,
'We are a church where loving God, loving people and loving the community we live in counts for everything'.

Love God, Luke 10:27, 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and love your neighbour as yourself.'

Love Others, John 13:35, 'A new commandment I give to you that you love one another as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.'
1 John 3:16, 'This is how we know what love is, Jesus Christ laid down His life for us, and we ought to lay our lives down for one another.'

Love our Community, Matthew 5:16, 'Let your light so shine before men that the may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.'
James 2:26 'As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.'
